Hannah is a director, writer, producer, and assistant director.

Most recently with W&W: producer & director of Ingredients.

Hannah Michielsen is a Toronto based director and assistant director. Hannah attended the University of Waterloo where she studied theatre. Following university, she was a touring production stage manager and between tours started working in and developing a passion for film and television.

Hannah is an accomplished first assistant director. Some of her work includes Locke & Key, Surrealestate, What We Do In The Shadows, Run, Self Made: The Madam CJ Walker Story, New Eden, Cardinal, Northern Rescue, feature films I Was Lorena Bobbitt, Lie Exposed, The Toll, and a Canadian/Icelandic co-production Shadowtown.

Hannah has written, directed, and produced short films through her company Willows & Windmills Productions Inc. Most recently Hannah directed Ingredients. Ingredients premiered in The Blood In The Snow Film Festival, is nominated for Best Short Film in the Directors Guild of Canada Awards, won best narrative short at the Toronto International Women Film Festival, and has been recognized at several other festivals. She also recently wrote and directed Cody in Kwaranteen, a mockumentary which premiered on Impact Wrestling, won best comedy at the ICP Ent Film Festival, and has played many other festivals. Her film Unconventional was released in 2019 and Poker Night which was released in 2017. Hannah also directed some second unit on Lock & Key, Northern Rescue and Surrealestate. 

Hannah has shadowed director Mairzee Almas on Impulse, Roger Kumble on Suits, and Terry Matalas on 12 Monkeys in the past.
